The cable laid by the new and innovative hybrid/electric vehicle is different from the general cable sold on the market, and needs to meet various high requirements. The complex electronic system of the vehicle needs to shield the electrical interference generated by the high power/high voltage current passing through the power cable. For electric and hybrid vehicles, weight reduction is also the most important. The expected life of the whole vehicle including electrical components shall not be less than 10 years. The environment around the vehicle is particularly harmful. General insulation will be damaged by gasoline, oil and other liquids. The temperature around the cable can reach 125 ℃ or higher, or - 40 ℃ or lower in the northern climate.
Specially designed: high-voltage cables specially designed for hybrid and electric vehicles are made of irradiated cross-linked elastomer (XLE). Service life optimization: the service life of vehicles is usually more than ten years. The service life of commercial vehicles is given a considerable number of operating hours. A typical bus is expected to have a service life of more than 50000 hours.
