The latest Century line continues its tradition of all-day endurance bikes with a complete materials and design overhaul, improving on what were already rider favorites. Hand-built carbon frames borrow from Diamondback’s more aggressive road bikes, with big stiff bottom bracket and head tube areas, sculpted seat stays for compliance, and clean looks. The Shimano Ultegra 11 speed drivetrain is always on point providing quick, precise shifts, and with an extended gear range to help bail you out on those steep climbs. The Shimano hydraulic disc brakes are powerful, and provide controlled braking in any condition. The lightweight alloy cockpit by Hed add to the Podium 5s superb ride characteristics. The wide Hed Flanders wheelset with 28c tires remain fast over the smooth asphalt and help to cushion your ride over the not so well maintained portions.

The new Century is more than just a superficial makeover, it’s a complete reimagining of a modern classic.
